ITINERARY Come to one of the unique areas of Northwest British Columbia and experience 200km of the Stikine River, through the Coast Mountains to Great Glacier Provincial Park and the Alaska border.Join a small group for a 2-day trip from Telegraph Creek down the Stikine River by jet boat. Travel to Telegraph Creek via the spectacular Telegraph Creek Road, tour the historic town site, fish for rainbow trout at Sawmill Lake. Experience Spring returning to the Valley, wildflowers blooming, migrating birds returning, moose calving, bears & cubs, Fall colors. Experience the power of the Stikine River. Day 1 - The Departure approximately 9:00 am from the RiverSong facility in Telegraph Creek. Alternately floating and motoring as the mood dictates until we get to the Great Glacier area. We'll set up camp for the night then run down past the confluence of the Stikine's largest tributary, the Iskut River, to the Alaska border. Back to our campsite for a campfire Bar-B- Que. Curried sockeye salmon steak is an in season favourite. Day 2 - Hike to a view of the Lake and Glacier.
